Real time Optimization of SEM

After I left Match.com in 2011 I asked myself: who are the people that have pitched their ideas to me during the past years but that I never got to work with? One of the first names that came up was Marcus Anzengruber, a wiz kid that started a successful affiliate business in the Nordics in his early teens, which eventually became his search marketing optimization company, Campanja.
 
Over a lunch at Vassa Eggen (“Sharp Edge”) Marcus impressed me by the results of what the Campanja SEM optimization engine could do and he showed me more energy and attitude when presenting his business plan than all other entrepreneurs I had met so far combined.
 
Adding to that, after having been one of Googles largest SEM-customers in our part of the world, I knew what great SEM optimization did to the bottom line. It was obvious that this was both a problem worth solving and that Marcus and his team had the characteristics of someone that could make it happen.

Campanja was acquired in late 2015 by 247-inc.
